And I’ve been busy. Since my last post, we’ve been homeschooling the Boy with fantastic results. Gone is the frustration and hesitation, and my child’s sincere interest in learning has flourished. Now, if I could get him to realize how much better he’d do if he would actually study, practice, etc. I am amazed and admittedly a little jealous. I was such an academic at his age and I worked hard for it. The Boy, on the other hand, is so stinking smart and naturally gifted that he maintains a solid GPA without really having to work at it. He just gets it, regardless the subject or task. These past few months have only increased my amazement at how little effort he has to make in order to do extraordinary things.
